Connection: The Quiet Beauty of Being Known

There's a certain kind of magic in being truly seen.
Not for what you do or how you present—but for who you are at your core.
That's the heart of connection.
It's not loud. It's not flashy.
It's the quiet beauty of being known—and of knowing in return.

Trunk Show Moments: Seen, Remembered, Loved

Recently, I returned to western New York for a family visit—and for my first Moonstruck trunk show since closing my gallery there six years ago. For many years, that little shop was home. It's where I created, connected, and shared my work with a beloved community. Coming back to that familiar landscape, I wasn't sure what to expect. But as people filtered in—familiar faces, loyal customers, old friends—they were all wearing Moonstruck jewelry. Not just one or two. *All of them.*

They had gathered with intention, layering on pieces they'd collected over time. Many came to add to their personal stories, others to begin collections for someone they love.
It stopped me in my tracks.

This wasn't just about jewelry. It was about memory. About meaning.
About being seen and remembered and woven into someone's life story.
And in that moment, I felt the strongest sense of homecoming—not just to a place, but to a purpose.

In the Woods: A Quieter Kind of Connection

Connection also happens in the quiet, unspoken places.

Like in the woods during a recent photo shoot—just me, the trees, and the shifting light.
It was the only clear day in the forecast, and everything aligned. I found myself barefoot in the dirt, surrounded by swaying trees, and it hit me: this is it. This is where I feel most myself.

Beneath the canopy, I could feel inspiration rising.
The moss. The bark. The hush. The strength.
These textures, tones, and tiny details find their way into my work time and time again.
Connection isn't just between people—it's between artist and earth, intention and material.

Connection Through Craft

In every piece I make, I hope to create more than adornment. I hope to create a feeling—of being known, remembered, rooted, or reconnected.

Maybe you've felt it too.
A necklace that holds a memory.
A ring that reminds you of someone.
A stone that feels like something ancient and familiar.

That's connection.

🌿 Reflect With Me:
Is there a piece you wear that makes you feel connected?
To someone, to somewhere, to yourself?

Feel free to share in the comments or send a note—I'd love to hear your story.
